‘I’m writing a book!’
Oh, how I’ve said that sentence in a multitude of ways over the past six years. It started off quiet – A mumble when barely anyone was there to hear. Then, something changed – I changed. I grew in confidence, and it grew louder – more audible for those willing to listen. Before I knew it, I couldn’t contain it anymore. I was a writer at last – A proud, young, unpublished writer. Over the years, I’ve started projects, and shelved projects. I’ve entered competitions, attended conferences, and dared to dream about the day that I would receive a yes – The yes from an agent – The yes from a publisher – The yes from a bookshop wanting me to sign a stock of my own books.
So, from the small beginnings to now, I would just like to say … I’m writing a book! I can’t wait to see what the future of this paperback dream holds.
Until next time,
I'm just an average teenager who spends too much time daydreaming. I also love reading and have a passion for creative writing which is why I am an aspiring author.
